The design and development feel uninspired for a game built around the concept 'for the fans, by the fans.' Something went wrong in the development process, or the game was created as a quick cash grab. Is there anything redeeming about Enlisted? The game plays OK, and at least the guns are fun, but overall, the game is remarkably average. What's even worse, the microtransaction market feels like a get-rich-quick scheme.
There's an ambitious progression system that doesn't work. What weighs on Enlisted more is that the control schematic for the game is clunky, and when things get hot and heavy, performance gets slow. We're not seeing anything particularly exciting or new to get us engaged in gameplay.
